“Design of Timber Structures ltd” (UAB “Medinių Konstrukcijų Projektai“) is a structural engineering company based in Kaunas.
The main focus of the business is the design of timber structures; projects ranging from the commercial and industrial to leisure and education buildings. The company has been established in 1995 and since has built its reputation by delivering more than 150 projects in different countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Poland, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Qatar and etc.

Managing Director – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Algirdas Baltrušaitis. Algirdas graduated from Kaunas University of Technology in 1969 in civil engineering and defended doctor thesis in Moscow Central Institute of Research of Building structures (CNIISK) in 1986. Since 1988 Algirdas has been a lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology.

Company believes in constant education. Therefore Algirdas Baltrušaitis and emploes of company have participated and presented papers in World Conferences on Timber Engineering (WCTE) in Montreux (Switzerland) – 1998, Vancouver (Canada) – 2000, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) – 2002, Lahti (Finland) – 2004, Portland(USA) – 2006, Miyazaki (Japan) – 2008, Riva Del Garda (Italy) – 2010, Auckland (New Zealand) – 2012.
